 The Zombie Apocalypse II This is not an Airsoft Game.... This will be a Zombie Survival Horror Event
The Story........
The Safe Zone in Beavercreek Oregon has been a failure, I am sorry to say that a large number of survivors have been lost, if not by the Zombie attacks then by the napalm bombs that were dropped by the Air National Guard, in their attempt to sterilize the area with 3000 degrees of fire. This was only a temporary fix to the bigger problem, yes the virus was destroyed in this small area. A small handful of survivors that were able to avoid the infection were in fact almost killed by the fire from the bombs. We were able to med-evac them to a local hospital for immediate burn care. This all happened last September 2009 and now it is 2010 and are getting reports of a larger virus outbreak. I hate to call it a Zombie virus, but I can't explain it any other way. Strangely, this infection is very different. The first Virus outbreak simply "killed" the victim and then after a short incubation period, maybe 30 minutes, the body would re-animate and attack any living person.
Now this is where it starts to get weird and bug the hell out of me. Once a person is attacked by an infected person, there is no apparent death. Let me explain...it's sort of like the Ebola Virus gone bad, if that's even possible, and since there is no known cure, all we can do is do our best to protect ourselves and loved ones from this menace.
We had a backup plan and we used it with what few survivors that we could save. We had 2 Blackhawk choppers waiting for us, once we boarded the birds, they took us to Timberline lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon. Our researchers told us, maybe they lied, what does it matter, they told us that zombies can't survive the freezing cold....but the infected were waiting for us inside. Really glad the zombies didn't wait until the choppers landed or we'd all be dead. I'll not forget, there must have been 60 or 70 of them pouring out of the lodge running right smack dab in the path of the .50 cal machinegun bullets, as the guns opened up, cutting all of the zombies down, Timberline was out, plan B...
Plan "B" was the sea going cargo freighter anchored in Astoria Oregon. We have made our home on this cargo ship now for a little over 5 months and are running low on food and medical supplies and I think one of the survivors are showing symptoms of some virus, I think it may be Ebola! The symptoms are like this....The pain, the bleeding out, the convulsions. Internal organs start to decay as though you're already dead, but you're not. your blood loses its ability to clot, then your endothelial cells, which form the lining of the blood vessels, fail to function, so blood leaks through. Soon it oozes from every orifice- even from your eyes, pores, and under your fingernails. Then you die.
I have decided to take whatever supplies we have left and board the choppers and fly to Carlton Oregon to our now primary safe zone. Since we have not had any radio communication from the military or law enforcement, we have no choice but to remain at our new home and hope the virus runs out of hosts to infect.
News Reports begin to come, and you can hear a pin drop...
It
started about three weeks ago when we heard numerous reports by CNN
that a deadly outbreak of Ebola was
reported in the Russian Ukraine. The outbreak might possibly be
connected to a government state mental asylum. A wide variety of
symptoms from uncontrollable bleeding to the dissolving of internal
organs in certain patients, has been
reported. The original reports said that the virus was passed
through physical contact and is spreading. But the reports were also
very optimistic. It seemed that they had a cure and everything was
under control.
Until
2 weeks ago!. . . . Reports of similar outbreaks in Germany, Italy
and London were heard. Like the swine flu pandemic, CNN followed its
progress. It was easy to believe that it was just another outbreak
reported in the "Around the World News".
Last
week real time reports started hitting local news of its spreading
through the Chicago suburbs. Unconfirmed stories of Riots, looting’s,
and dead people walking about were also reported as it headed towards
the East Coast. Within four days of its reaching Chicago, the reports
of it spreading as far as San Francisco, Portland and Seattle were
announced.
Yesterday
with the possibility of this infectious virus being so close to home,
most residence stayed glued to their local TV news networks, or their
radio station's. But those news sources were short lived. At
2:43 PM yesterday they stopped. Only hours after the first reported
casualties in Portland were suspected, the electrical power and video
news service went out. Although almost everyone uses cable
television, the cable company provider's are also located in downtown
Portland where the first reports began.
With
the power off, radio stations kept reporting the news until
just before 5:00 PM Friday evening. When with no explanation why,
That radio station stopped as well.. . . . .
At
2:43 PM Friday the power grid for community west of the Portland Metro
area
went out as well. And it was expected that the cause for the TV and
radio interruption was the power failure. But what could cause such
a wide power disruption.
Ready to Bring it again and slay some more Zombies? Do a bit of camping, and try to survive three days of relentless, bloodthirsty Zombie attacks? We have organized the second installment of The Zombie Apocalypse Weekend, The Zombie Apocalypse 2, to be held from Friday, August 6th through Sunday, August 8th, on 170 acres of Wooded land 1 1/2 hours from Portland, Oregon located in Carlton Oregon. Activities will include survival training, live-attack exercises, and many other Zombie themed events. The Zombie Apocalypse Weekend will be a great opportunity to get to know other Zombie survivalists, Zombie Hunters and Zombie Fans. Have some fun, and learn how to live through a coming undead disaster. This year, the games will only take place during daylight hours to insure the safety of all involved and we will fill up your evenings with meals, zombie movies, campfire chats, and after each days games we will devote to makeup demonstrations and photo opportunities. Please visit our FORUMS page to share any ideas and requests you may have so that we can make this years event one to remember. This is not meant to be an "Airsoft Game", but more of a Survival Horror Adventure. With that being said, no automatic airsoft guns will be allowed during the survival games, only airsoft shotguns will be used which we will provide. This will make more challenging for the living people.
We will need your name and what position you will be playing for this event. You can go to our Forums and give me that info under the zombie apocalypse 2 section.
Once a living player becomes infected, we will have you moved to a quarantine area so that we can transform you into one of the walking dead.
ALL PLAYERS MUST BE AT LEAST 14 YEARS OF AGE. All zombies will need to dress with some padding or extra clothing and if you are a living person, you will need to provide full face protection from the bbs. We will be taking plenty of pictures of the zombies in full face makeup before the actual games so you can show off your work. All of the zombies in the past have had a great time and didn't really complain about the bbs. The rules will be discussed in great detail at the event in regards to kill shots. There will not be any intentional head and face shots allowed, this is just a game, save it for when the real zombies attack, and they will attack.The weekend will begin on Friday August 6th with early registration, as we have all the players who will be camping get set up in Friday mid-afternoon. Also, this will be a good time for the vendors to show up so they are fresh for Saturday morning.
Campers will need to provide their own tents and supplies.
Saturday the 7th will begin at around 7 AM for coffee and breakfast. Moving on to checking out the vendor areas to see what sort of goodies they have to offer.
The prices for Breakfast and Dinner will be announced soon.
Meals must be purchased when you line up for meals, but let us know if you are planning on eating so we can have enough food for everyone.
The First Saturday game will begin at 10 AM and end at Noon, break for 1 hour for lunch.
The Second Saturday game will begin at 2 PM and end at 4 PM.
Dinner will begin at around 5:30 or 6 PM Saturday and after dinner, you are free to check out some of the booths and visit one another while we get the movies ready or you can head back to your tent.
Sunday morning will be layed back and breakfast will be available along with coffee. Then the start of several mini games, after that the weekend will wrap up in time for an awards presentation.
All ticket purchases need to be prepaid by July 15th to get you locked in. We are working towards a 2 to 1 ratio of Zombies to Armed Personnel. We will also be filling slots for research personnel like the first Zombie Event.
Vendors will be able to set up a booth at the event, you need to bring your own equipment and you will be charged $25.00 but will keep your profits. We will not have electricity with the exception of a generator so please bring lanterns for lighting.
*NOTE* If you are providing a service such as zombie makeup and other type services, let me know and I will waive the fee due to the benefit to the players.

Scenario 1
Friday August 6th
2010.
Virus Incubation Complete
The basic scenario is
relaxed for the first game as both sides come together for the first
time. This scenario has two parts.
Part 1
The Players:
Meet your
opponents, the Zombie Horde. Learn their tactics and weak points as
you come up against the Zombie Hordes for the first time. It’s a
matter of numbers. Counting each time you are killed, versus each
time you drop the zombie. At the end of the two-hour scenario you’ll
compare notes. And find out how you’re till ratio agrees with your
tactics. If you are killed six times, and kill 8 opponents. You’re
basic till ratio is six to eight. Or 75%.
Part 2
Zombie Hordes:
The Zombie Hordes come out
against its adversaries for the first time. You’re objective is to
learn from your opponents and perfect you’re zombie behavioral
patterns. Just like the Players, your kill ratio it is a matter of
members. The 100% is just a 1 to 1 ratio. “which isn’t good”
as you perfect your skills you will develop a 6/2 ratio which is
300%” 6 adversary kills, to 2 of your own” this is a good
number/tactic to develop.
Scenario #2
Saturday August 7th
2010. 10am - 12:00 noon The Mission, to be able to make it to the rescue point before the timer runs out. They are there, the zombies, walking, crouching and hiding, they are smarter than your average zombies. They knew you are coming, you are food for the feast, with only a little ammo in your guns, and unarmed survivors, you won't be able to hold off for long. The siren rings in your ears, it's "Go Time".
Scenario #3
Saturday August 7th 2010. 12:30 - 2:00pm
The Mission, to rescue 2 medical couriers that have become lost or stranded in an unknown location near the entrance to the property. Your job as a commander is to send out several search parties to locate, and secure the medical supplies that were sent by one of the few operating hospitals. There are no antidotes but there are other essential medicines.
